2. Norwegian Atlantic Trout (Fresh / Frozen)

🐟 About Trout

The rainbow trout is a predatory fish in the salmon family, with a streamlined silver body and black spots covering most of its surface. Farming takes place along the entire Norwegian coastline, from Finnmark to Vest-Agder.

Like Atlantic salmon, trout begin life in freshwater, and after adapting to saltwater, they are transferred to fjord pens with excellent water circulation, providing optimal conditions. Trout are typically harvested at 2–5 kg.

⚙️ Technology & Welfare

Rainbow trout farming was the foundation of Norwegian aquaculture. The first trout farmers paved the way for today's industry, which now benefits from some of the world's most advanced aquaculture technology. This ensures both high fish welfare and premium quality.
